Hello, the service was very friendly and very quick. The food is very plentiful and tastes as good as it used to be, I can only recommend it. If you are in Leipzig, you just have to visit it, if you like the GDR cuisine, keep it up 👍👌

Brilliant. It really tastes like it used to be in the GDR era. The facility is like it used to be The service is very nice and since I was desperate because I couldn't reserve a table anywhere in Leipzig, we were pushed in.

I felt like I was transported back to my childhood. Great food, great hospitality, keep it up. Every ossi feels at home there as it did back then in their own walls.

In the not too crowded restaurant, I opted for a simple order of fried cheese and potato wedges in the hope of being quick. I ended up spending 2 hours. Sometimes I wondered whether I was simply ignored as I know for a fact that it didn't take that long for other customers around me. During the one hour long wait between my order and being served, I contemplated many times the idea of just paying for my drink and leaving without food.

Super rustic pub / restaurant. Awesome interior - like a little time travel. Only the operation is not typical of the GDR. Too friendly! 😉 Price / performance ratio very good!

Interesting restaurant with DDR concept. The food was great. I bought the lunch menu (pasta with wurst) and the portion was big. It was around 5 euro. The taste was delicious. There was several free parking nearby, even next to the restaurant, but in the side road. The price was affordable.

Excellent! Furnishings with old furniture, trains, decorative items, etc. Great menu, the food was great, rustic and highly recommended! It is best, however, by reservation. Tram stops almost in front of the door.

We were absolutely thrilled. Ambience mega. The food was so delicious. Even my grumpy daughter was so happy with her and my food. Has served all around. We will definitely be back .....

A quaint restaurant that serves tasty dishes that feels lovingly homemade. I had the pork cheeks with potato dumplings and purple cabbage. The pork cheeks were well seasoned and tender, but not melt in the mouth soft. Friends had the half roasted chicken and the vegan Quinoa and peas patties. We were pleased with our food. English and Deutsch menu available. Restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating.

If you want to sniff a bit of the past, this is the place for you. Staff great, very friendly. Food super delicious. Price / performance is right. Gladly again.

Great shop, great decoration - a real cult pub. Had the sauerkraut soup - delicious! The drinks are great. The atmosphere was great and the waitresses very nice. We'd love to come back!

A trip to childhood ❤ A great restaurant, super-friendly service, fast, attentive and the food was great. It tasted just as delicious as it used to be, very large portions and affordable. This restaurant was an absolute top prize and we will definitely be back on the next "drive home".

A quaint GDR facility! Made super cool. The food is just damn good! I would not say that it is GDR cuisine, it is based on the dishes of that time but in a very good quality! I can recommend the restaurant to everyone and better reserve if you want a place! We will be back!

Very nostalgic little GDR restaurant. The food was delicious and the portion size was good. We are full. The conditions were sometimes alone and we were very impressed with their commitment. Great performance and she was always friendly. Go there and experience a little journey back in time.

Hearty home cooking! Decent prices and big portions! But know that the meat is cooked on the dryer side.

Worth a visit. Spent there spontaneously and were lucky enough to get 2 seats. Beautiful interior, very lovingly decorated with many collectibles from GDR times. Outside area also very nice, a bit small for popularity. The menu is reminiscent of times gone by, the dishes are absolutely authentic. When I was eating, memories of my youth in the GDR came up. Very good taste. Everything freshly prepared with heart. In contrast to GDR times, the entire service staff is very friendly and courteous. But that's a good thing. So we can only advise every visitor to Leipzig to take a detour to the restaurant collective. We will definitely come back when we are here. Reservation is recommended, otherwise it may be that you no longer have a place.

Our visit to the collective was worth it. The service was very hard and extremely friendly. Our assigned seat was not that great, but the food was. We all enjoyed everything without exception. As we know and know it and it should be. The Jägerschnitzel inspired us all and bland was NOT a dish. So recommendation for the next visit to Leipzig but with a seat above.

This place is a jump back to a few decades ago. It is literally a museum of the everyday life in the DDR times in a cozy environment. The service is super kind and the waiters make you feel at home. Food is always delicious, and they have a special section of Czech food, apart from the eastern German food. It's really worth a visit or more!

Ideal place to go with someone who lived in the DDR. The place is like a museum and needs some explanation to maximize the joy of the place.

Came for the solyanka, stayed for the DDR granny chic. Great little place with a 'homestyle' menu, funky interior, and lovely service.

Nice place with tasty food.

Unique interior, good meals and friendly staff. My main dish was really nice. I was just unlucky with the Soljanka soup. Don’t recommend that one but all other food is absolutely recommendable!
